Lt. Col. Steve Richmond

Born into a career Air Force family, Lt. Col. Steve Richmond grew up on the Pacific Rim and on various bases in the United States. Enlisting in the Marine Corps, he started as an infantryman. Over the course of 30 years, he has spent time as Infantry and Air Wing, regular and reserve, officer and enlisted. He served two years in Vietnam as an infantry platoon leader, as commanding officer of a rifle company, and as a Combined Action Company commanding officer.
Steve’s civilian pursuits included service as an airline pilot, work in the insurance industry and service as the chief financial officer of a 501(c)(3) foundation that turned a mothballed Essex class aircraft carrier (USS Hornet – CV12) into a floating museum and tour destination. Lt. Col. Richmond is married and has two daughters and one grandson.
