Paul Green served as interim pastor of First Filipino Baptist Church in Los Angeles. He is also a member and former adult Sunday school teacher at the Faith Baptist Tabernacle Church in North Highlands.
Paul is an active member of the California Republican Party and is serving his fourth term as an appointed member of the CRP Resolutions Committee. In 2008, he served as the McCain campaign Faith Coalition California Northern District Chair. He is an ex officio member of the Sacramento County Republican Party Central Committee, past president of the Republicans of River City, and was chairman of the California Congress of Republicans statewide Convention Planning and Site Selection Committee. Paul is also the Vice President of the Sacramento Institute of Public Policy.
In addition, Paul is a decorated military veteran whose 24-year United States Air Force career resulted in his receiving a Top Secret security clearance and his being promoted to the grade of Senior Master Sergeant -- a position that placed him in the top 2 percent of all enlisted members in the Air Force. Paul, a life member, previously served as one of the 20 elected members of the Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA) International Executive Council as the president of Division 14 representing the states of Alaska, Oregon and Washington. More recently he served as president of AFSA's then 1300 member and Auxiliary Sacramento (Camellia) Chapter. Paul is also a member of the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.
While on active duty, Paul earned his Associate in Applied Science degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the Community College of the Air Force plus his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Maryland.
Paul is married to the former Vivian M. Johnson of Manila Philippines. They have five children: Paul III, Hector, Jeremy, Jubilee and Jennifer-Ruth.
