Heidi L. Gallegos currently serves as vice president of the Rowland Unified School District Board of Education, as a delegate to the California School Board Association Region 23, and as a member of the Regional Economic Association of Leaders of California’s Education Subcommittee. She is dedicated to safe and modern schools, fiscal accountability, high standards for a quality education, increased technology in the classroom and improved career and college pathways.
A community leader for more than 25 years, Heidi is the president and chief executive officer of the Regional Chamber of Commerce San Gabriel Valley, secretary/treasurer of the Los Angeles County Business Federation, chair of the Mt. San Antonio Community College Bond Oversight Committee, past president of La Puente Valley Regional Occupational Center, past president of the Rowland Council Parent-Teacher Association, co-chairperson of Rowland K.I.D.S., parent representative on the Rowland Unified School District's Budget Task Force, co-chair of the Operation Safe Communities and Buckboard Days Parade, and member of the Rotary Club of Walnut Valley.
Heidi is also a recipient of the California PTA’s Golden Oak Service Award, the Association of Rowland Administrators’ Golden Apple Award, and California State Assemblyman Bob Huff's 2008 Woman of the Year Award.
Heidi had a 12-year career in law enforcement as a peace officer and trainer at the Los Angeles Police Academy. Heidi is a graduate of Biola Univerity, Glendale Community College and the Los Angeles Police Academy (Peace Officers Standards and Training certified in 1987).
