SACRAMENTO, CA – U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina today announced that her campaign has kept up a strong fundraising pace from April 1 to May 19. During the filing period, Fiorina raised $909,000 in addition to loaning her campaign another $1.1 million, for a total income of just more than $2 million dollars.
“I am humbled and honored to have received the support of so many dedicated people around California and across the nation,” said Fiorina. “Recent polling confirms that the hard work our financial supporters, grassroots volunteers and dedicated campaign team members have together invested in the race is paying off. Californians increasingly recognize that I am the Republican candidate best positioned to defeat Barbara Boxer in November. We expect this momentum to continue growing in the final days before the primary election and into the general election this fall.”
During this reporting period, Fiorina earned financial support from 4,646 individuals across the nation. The average donation size during this period was $185, and 89 percent of donations collected were in amounts of $250 or less. As of the end of the filing period, Fiorina had $620,000 cash on hand.
Since the launch of her campaign in November 2009, Fiorina has raised $3.69 million from 12,486 individuals in all 50 states, Washington, DC, Guam and American Samoa. Of these supporters, 8,095 are from California. In total, 85 percent of donors gave in amounts of $250 or less, and the average donation size was $258.
In addition, since the reporting period closed on May 19, Fiorina loaned her campaign an additional $1.9 million, bringing her total investment in the campaign to $5.5 million.
