Carly Fiorina on Financial Reform
April 27, 2010

“While it is abundantly clear that we need financial reform, I do not believe Senator Dodd’s bill as currently written will achieve the fundamental goals of reform. Instituting a new bureaucracy without first understanding why multiple federal regulatory agencies failed to meet their responsibilities is a recipe for repetition. Only true transparency and accountability will lead to true reform.

“While it isn’t surprising that Senator Boxer would vote for this legislation along with other members of her party, a better solution would come from a bipartisan effort that actually achieves true reform, holds the appropriate parties responsible for their actions and protects our fellow Americans.”

On Sunday, Fiorina elaborated on her concerns about the Democrats’ financial reform bill during an interview on Fox News Channel’s America’s News HQ. Click here to watch the video.
