FRESNO, CA – U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina today earned the endorsement of Fresno County Supervisor Debbie Poochigian.
“Debbie is a dedicated, principled public servant, and I am humbled and honored to receive her endorsement of my campaign for U.S. Senate,” said Fiorina. “Now, more than ever, California needs representatives in Washington who will take on the tough issues and make the tough decisions. After 18 years of Barbara Boxer’s failed leadership and failure to represent the interests of our great state, the people of California are ready to make a change, and that starts with changing who we send to Washington.”
Poochigian was elected to the Fresno County Board of Supervisors in 2008 representing District 5. She is a lifelong resident of Fresno County with strong ties throughout Central California. Poochigian graduated from Fresno State where she competed in collegiate tennis. Her family has farmed in the San Joaquin Valley for four generations and has been involved in public service at the local and state levels for many years. Previously, Poochigian was a middle school teacher and coach, was a board member of the Fresno Area Crime Stoppers and served on the board of directors of a major medical center. She is also a member of the Fresno County Farm Bureau and the Clovis Chamber of Commerce.
“Carly Fiorina is a true fiscal conservative who understands that Californians are concerned with the state of the economy and our ever-growing national debt. She has the real-world experience and grit to stand up and fight for us,” said Poochigian. “I know Carly will be a staunch advocate for California in Washington, and I am pleased to endorse her candidacy for U.S. Senate.”
