FONTANA, CA – During a campaign swing through Southern California, U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina today hosted a town hall meeting with Fontana-area business and community leaders to discuss the challenges facing the region’s families, communities and companies.
“Given these tough economic times, it’s critically important that we work together to support our nation’s job creators and entrepreneurs. That means cutting taxes, lowering the barriers created by onerous business regulations and getting credit flowing again,” said Fiorina. “Instead, Barbara Boxer has continued to champion a policy of tax, spend, borrow and regulate. This philosophy hurts our nation’s businesses and communities. In order to put our country on the path toward recovery, we must send new leaders to Washington who share our commitment to economic growth and job creation.”
Since declaring her candidacy for U.S. Senate, Fiorina has traveled the state to talk with Californians about their concerns for the future and effective solutions to address the biggest challenges facing the state and nation. In recent weeks, Fiorina has made campaign stops in Irvine, Clovis, Colton, Oakland and La Jolla.
“It will take a broad and diverse network of grassroots support to defeat Barbara Boxer and the special interests that bankroll her campaigns,” Fiorina continued. “I look forward to continuing to talk with Californians in the coming months about how to build a better future for our great state.”
Later today, Fiorina will speak at a meeting of the Lincoln Club of Coachella Valley, an organization founded in 1994 to help recruit and support Republican candidates for elected office and to engage area Republicans in championing the ideals of limited government, personal responsibility and low taxes.
Fiorina will also deliver remarks at the Lincoln Club of Riverside County’s Annual Gala And Awards Ceremony, which helps support the group’s Get Out The Vote and other grassroots organization efforts.
