FRESNO, CA – During a live, on-the-air interview on KYNO 940AM’s Truth on the Table, former Fresno Mayor Alan Autry today endorsed Carly Fiorina’s campaign for U.S. Senate.
“I’m honored and grateful to have the endorsement, support and confidence of a leader like Alan Autry behind my campaign. He has a strong record of commitment to our golden state – and especially California’s Central Valley – and I’m grateful to have him on my team,” said Fiorina. “People across California are tired of being last on Barbara Boxer’s priority list. They are rising up to make a change in Washington and take our state back. And as challenging as our country’s problems are, I do believe we can solve them together.”

“The decisions made in Washington help shape the world our children and grandchildren will live in. It’s going to take purity of purpose and courageous leadership to carry our country through the problems that face us today,” said Autry. “Carly Fiorina is the best candidate to beat Barbara Boxer, and her election will be to the greater good of our Central Valley, our golden state and our great nation.”
Autry was elected mayor of Fresno in 2000 and was re-elected in 2004 with more than 72 percent of the vote. During his tenure, he was a strong proponent of maintaining a balanced city budget. Prior to his political career, Autry appeared in many television shows and movies; he also played football for the Green Bay Packers.
