SANTA CLARA, CA – U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina today took her campaign to the California Young Republican (CYR) Annual Convention in Santa Clara where she talked about her credentials as a fiscal conservative and her campaign to defeat Barbara Boxer.
“For the last 18 years, Barbara Boxer has championed policies of higher taxes and more government,” said Fiorina. “Throughout this campaign, I will hold Boxer accountable for that failed record. Raising taxes and growing government are clearly a one-way ticket to further damaging our economy. As California’s senator, my priorities will be getting control of our federal deficit and making sure government gets out of the way of small-business growth by lowering taxes and reducing the regulatory burden.”
CYR is an affiliate of the Young Republican National Federation, which was established in 1935 and is the nation’s oldest political youth organization. Its mission is to support and equip Republicans under age 40 for greater political involvement through grassroots organization, recruitment and mobilization.
“California Young Republicans represent the next generation of our state’s leaders. They play a critically important role in mapping the future of our party, our state and our nation,” continued Fiorina. “I look forward to engaging with voters of all ages from across the state in the coming months to discuss how to address our most pressing challenges and how to put our state on the path to economic growth and recovery.”
Since declaring her candidacy for U.S. Senate, Carly has vowed to hold Barbara Boxer accountable for her dismal 18-year tenure as California’s junior senator. Earlier this week, Carly for California re-launched www.CallMeBarbara.com, which provides voters information about Boxer’s ineffectiveness in Washington.
