Carly Fiorina Discusses Challenges Facing San Joaquin Valley With Modesto-Area Leaders

Modesto, CA – U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina today led a roundtable meeting at the Stanislaus County Farm Bureau with Modesto-area business, political, agriculture and community leaders to learn about and discuss the issues having the greatest impact on the area’s families and communities.

“It is those in the trenches – farmers, small-business owners, educators, parents and taxpayers – dealing daily with the consequences of decisions made in the U.S. Senate who so often have the best solutions to our most pressing challenges,” said Fiorina. “I’m grateful to have the opportunity to talk with these local leaders about the issues most important to Valley families, businesses and communities, and as a U.S. senator, I will make advocating on their behalf my priority.”

Since announcing her candidacy for U.S. Senate in November, Fiorina has been talking to Californians across the state about the issues most relevant to their families and communities. In the coming months, she will continue to travel up and down the state to engage directly with Californians about what is most important to them and to discuss solutions to our most pressing challenges.

“For too many years, Californians have been represented by a U.S. senator who fails to prioritize their needs ahead of her own. It’s time to bring fiscal sanity and accountability back to Washington; it’s time to vote Barbara Boxer out of office,” continued Fiorina. “As a U.S. senator, my top priorities will be creating jobs, jumpstarting our economy and getting control of runaway federal spending.”
