SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA – During a campaign swing through California’s central coast, U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina today addressed members of the Republican Party of San Luis Obispo County and the Lincoln Club of San Luis Obispo County as part of the organizations’ 2010 Candidate Series. In her remarks, Carly highlighted her vision for building a better future for California through job creation, economic development and increased accountability and transparency in federal spending.
“After 18 years of Barbara Boxer’s ineffectiveness in Washington, it will take fearless leadership, innovative thinking and committed teamwork to revitalize California and create the positive change in direction our state so desperately needs,” said Fiorina. “As a U.S. Senator, I will work to develop effective and efficient strategies to tackle our most pressing challenges so we can together build a brighter future for our golden state.”
Since announcing her candidacy for U.S. Senate in November, Fiorina has traveled across the state to talk with Californians about the challenges facing their businesses, families and communities. Her campaign swing through California’s central coast also included stops in Santa Cruz and Salinas. Yesterday, she addressed the members of the South Peninsula Area Republican Coalition and shared with them her insight on California’s challenges and her priorities for the future.
“One of the most gratifying aspects of being on the campaign trail is the opportunity to connect with Californians who share my commitment to building a better future for our state through job creation, economic development and increased accountability and transparency in federal spending,” Fiorina continued. “I am forever an optimist, and as I travel up and down the state in the coming months, I most look forward to engaging with the people of California and talking about effective solutions to the challenges facing our nation’s families and communities.”
The Republican Party of San Luis Obispo County and the Lincoln Club of San Luis Obispo County were created to help recruit and support Republican candidates for elected office and to engage area Republicans in championing the ideals of limited government, personal responsibility and low taxes.
