Carly Fiorina Honors America’s Servicemen and
Women on Veterans Day

Vietnam veteran Captain Chuck McDougald to serve as chair of Veterans for Carly

SACRAMENTO, CA – U.S. Senate Candidate Carly Fiorina today honored veterans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

“Today our nation pauses to remember our veterans and honor and thank them for their sacrifice. There are thousands of men and women who are serving our country overseas and here at home so that we can enjoy the privilege of pursuing life, liberty and happiness,” Carly said. “I hope you’ll join me today and thank our brave veterans and their families for the sacrifices they have made on our behalf. And I hope you’ll take a moment to remember those who didn’t make it home. They are what makes this country great and makes me proud to be an American.”

In addition, Captain Chuck McDougald, a retired Vietnam veteran and former member Special Forces of the United States Army, will serve as chairman of the “Veterans for Carly” Coalition. McDougald is a member of the board of directors of Veterans for Good Governance, a non-profit organization that promotes the participation of America’s veterans in governmental affairs.

“I am honored to serve as the chair of Veterans for Carly. As a veteran of Vietnam and second-generation member of our military, I know firsthand the kind of strength of character and integrity the men and women who have served and are serving today in our armed forces possess,” said McDougald. “I know that Carly supports and values our veterans as well as the men and women who are serving our military today on active duty protecting our freedoms here and around the world. I look forward to working with her to engage the veteran community. We need Carly’s voice on our behalf in Washington.”
